Description

This painting measures 12″ x 16 x 3″ and created with collage and acrylic paint on masonite. It comes out 3 inches from the wall and you can place objects on the top of it if you like that look.

This was the first painting I made when I returned from my first ever trip to India in 2009. I collected India Times newspapers and created a series of 9 paintings. All have been sold except for this one because it was my favorite. I took so many photos on that trip and I chose 9 of the best ones and recreated them on top of the collaged backgrounds. The backgrounds were meant to represent all of the texture I was seeing everywhere we went and the photos captured the beauty of the colors, sights, people, and animals.
