STARTS SUNDAY, MAY 2nd! *New time – Each class (in this course only) is extended by an hour – 11am-2pm!
Students have been requesting a longer watercolor class for months so here it is! We have always had a challenge to finish our paintings in 2 hours so I think it’s going to be much better to have that last hour to explore adding details, shading, highlights, and final layers to our paintings. In this watercolor part 2 course we will be using reference photos to paint scenery, objects, nature, and whatever else inspires the class. Using a combination of wet on wet, wet on dry, wet on almost try, and other techniques we will focus on how to create a painting from the main subject to the background. Some previous experience of using watercolor is helpful, but not mandatory – everyone needs to start where they are and beginner’s mind is a precious thing to embrace even for us who have been painting for years. Since we are using the technique of transferring a photo onto the paper – no drawing skills are needed. Join us!
This is an adult course, but teens are welcome to participate as well. Children under 13 may accompany an adult taking the course (or be accompanied by an adult in the room who is not taking the class)
