STARTS SATURDAY, APRIL 9th!
NOTE: THIS IS A NEW DAY FOR CLASS (formerly Sunday afternoons at same time)
We are going to be taking all of our most beloved subject matter from the past 2 years in my zoom watercolor classes + dive even deeper into the magic of painting them. We will continue to explore wet on wet, wet on dry, layering, shadows, and details of each object/scene we paint. From flowers to sunsets and animals to geometry – we will capture all of the beauty of the natural world and beyond in watercolor! For all levels.
This is similar to most of my watercolor classes (except for experimental watercolor) where we use photo references to paint each scene/object. It’s best to have a black and white photo to use to transfer the drawing, however you are also invited to hand draw it directly onto your watercolor paper using the photo as a loose reference instead. If you choose the latter, it might make sense for you to draw it prior to class as it takes a bit longer to do that.
This is an adult course, but teens are welcome to participate as well. Children under 13 may accompany an adult taking the course.
COST: By Donation (students have been paying anywhere from $5 – $50 per class which comes out to $20-$200 for the whole course. Please pay what matches your financial means and needs. No one turned away do to lack of funds.
**DATES: We will meet on Saturdays, April 9, 16, 23, 30 AND May 7, 14, 21, 28 from 2 – 4pm (Pacific Time)
**NOTE – This same class will be running both months of April and May. You can choose to sign up for either month or both – all 8 weeks. PLEASE ADJUST YOUR PAYMENT ACCORDINGLY. You will receive all 8 classes (live and recorded) if you sign up for April, you get to choose when you want to join us.
Each class will be recorded that day and the link to view it will be sent along with the notes from the class each week. Recorded classes are only available to those who register for the class so we can keep a safe and nurturing space for those to express themselves.

*** THIS IS THE BEST Paper: (any watercolor paper will do: here’s a suggestion for a block – the pages are glued together so it won’t buckle as much when you paint on it):
IF YOU WANT TO STRETCH YOUR OWN WATERCOLOR PAPER (most cost effective for a premium paper)
you will need: paper, gator board, stapler, artists tape, ruler to cut it with (links to paper and gator board right below, any kind of stapler that opens, ruler, and artists tape will do) Here’s a video of me showing you how to do it: https://youtu.be/rQlLc_chaNk
Journals and Pads: (THESE WILL BUCKLE WHEN YOU PAINT ON THEM):
